Costs are too high. Years of overregulation, high taxes and failed policies have made it harder for families to get by and harder for young people to build a future.
From the cost of buying a home to filling up the tank, families across our state cannot afford a government that fails to put them first. Christine knows that Oregon’s affordability crisis didn’t happen by accident. It was created by out-of-touch politicians with hidden agendas that continue to make life more expensive.
Christine’s plan will make Oregon more affordable:
- Lower taxes on working families
- No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime
- Repeal regulations that drive up gas, utilities
and food prices - Tear up Governor Kotek’s Climate Executive Order
that is driving up costs - Eliminate Oregon’s unique death tax
- Expand childcare tax credits
- Lower the cost to fish, hunt, paddle
and enjoy the great outdoors
Unleashing Oregon’s Economy
Oregon's reputation as one of the most anti-business states in the nation is well-earned.
High taxes, overregulation and radical politicians are forcing Main Street to close up shop – eliminating thousands of jobs. State agencies are there to serve, not punish. Christine understands that for Oregon to be the best place to start and grow a business, government needs to get out of the way.
Christine’s plan will get Oregon back to work:

Tackling Homelessness by Name and Need
Oregon has a lost generation living on our streets—sons and daughters, brothers and sisters—trapped in cycles of addiction.
From tent cities to government-funded crack pipes, across Oregon you’ll see the human tragedy that far-left policies have created. Christine will work to ensure that homelessness is rare and temporary, not chronic and permanent. We need fewer needles and more cops to restore safe communities.
Christine's plan focuses on reconnection, recovery and accountability:
- Declare an Emergency on the Addiction and Mental
Health Crisis - Fully audit homeless and addiction spending
- Prioritize addiction recovery, long-term sobriety
and mental health treatment - Enforce arrest warrants for individuals who
have committed crimes - Reconnect people with their families and communities
- Support law enforcement, clean up public spaces, and
restore safe communities - Abolish taxpayer spending on programs that enable
addiction
Homes Your Family Can Afford
Too many Oregonians can't afford to live in the communities where they grew up.
Young families are priced out of homeownership, and seniors on fixed incomes face property taxes that force impossible choices. Red tape in Salem, outdated forest management policies, and some of the highest taxes in the nation are keeping you and your family from buying a home. Christine understands that the best thing bureaucrats and politicians can do to lower the cost of housing is get out of the way.
Christine’s plan slashes housing costs and preserves the character of our communities:
- Expand first-time homeowner programs
- Create the Homes for Heroes program
- Slash regulatory red tape that drives up
construction costs - Fast-track permitting and enforce
permitting deadlines - Provide property tax relief for families
and seniors
Strong Schools Rooted in Communities
Students in Oregon continue to struggle with basic reading, writing and math. Test scores consistently place our state at the bottom of the bunch.
As a mom who’s spent time in the classroom, Christine knows that parents should make decisions about their children’s education. Increasingly, parents find their authority undermined, their values dismissed, and their children exposed to radical ideologies at younger and younger ages.
Christine’s plan prioritizes students and learning – not administrators and bureaucrats:
- Restore teachers’ ability to remove disruptive
kids from the classroom - Expand school choice and education opportunities
- Defend and protect women’s sports
- Stop indoctrination from the Department of Education
- Cut bureaucratic red tape and keep more teachers
in the classroom - Restore graduation requirements
- End social promotion and ensure kids can
read by 3rd grade - Increase special education funding
- Ensure curriculum transparency and the
right for parents to opt out
