“During the 2019 legislative session, Christine served in the House Health Care Committee when I first brought forward a significant oversight in our newborn screening panel. I found Christine to be extremely down to earth, approachable and level-headed. She agreed with me that all children should have a chance for life-saving treatment no matter what zip code they were born in. Unfortunately, due to the stacked OHA appointed members by governors in the past, nothing was done to change our screening panel until November of last year. Babies have been born with the disease and have died from it within this timeline. I believe if our state was more balanced instead of having a supermajority then this tragedy could have been avoided. I support Christine Drazan.”
