Christine Drazan eclipses $1 million raised in race for governor
Newest candidate to the race setting the pace among Republicans
Canby, Ore. – Canby state representative and former House Republican leader Christine Drazan today announced that her campaign had raised more than $1 million in the race for governor. The newest candidate to the race, Drazan is the first among Republicans to eclipse the $1 million threshold. Drazan also leads the field in cash-on-hand by a wide margin.
“I’m so grateful to the many Oregonians that have helped us get off to a fast start in this race,” said Drazan. “Whether you have supported my candidacy with your time or money, please know that your contributions are helping turn our state around.”
Drazan formally launched her campaign on January 4, 2022. As of today, she has raised more than $1,033,000. In addition to being the first GOP candidate to reach the $1 million mark, Drazan leads the field in cash-on-hand by a more than 2:1 margin, with over $870,000 in the bank. “The overwhelming support Christine’s campaign has received is a testament to the kind of leader she is and how well her message is resonating with Oregonians,” said Trey Rosser, Drazan’s campaign manager. “Everywhere we go, folks are inspired by her vision for our state and her passion for putting the people back in charge of their state government. Oregonians recognize that, with Christine as our governor, change is coming to Oregon on Day One.”
